UNIDO ITPO Tokyo is co-organizing a mission to Turkey from 1-7 November 2014,  co-leading 12 company representatives from Osaka, Yokohama and Tokyo who are members of the Japan Foreign Traders Association (JAFTA).

The mission is holding meetings in Istanbul and Izmir with Turkish and Japanese institutions and companies.

The programme in Izmir on 5 November (Wednesday) follows-up earlier activities to promote Izmir in Japan in 2012-2013 and is coordinated with IZKA (the Izmir Development Agency). The Izmir region is traditionally an active industrial area in western Turkey, though less known to Japanese companies.

The visit is expected to raise the awareness of Japanese companies vis-a-vis Turkey in general, and the Izmir region in particular as an alternative investment and business destination.
