Mr. Tadesse Segni, Ethiopia-based Africa Advisor of UNIDO ITPO Tokyo, participated in a reporting and networking session, organized by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Addis Ababa in late April, on the ABE Initiative (African Business Education Initiative for Youth) scholarship programme.

At the event, the ABE initiative returnees made presentation of what they learned in Japan and what they are doing at the moment at their respective firms and organizations in serving as the bridge between Japan and Ethiopia especially in investment and trade promotion as well as technology transfer from Japan to Ethiopia. 

Mr. Tadesse served as moderator of the debriefing and exchanged views on investment promotion in Ethiopia with the programme’s trainees who returned to Ethiopia after the programme in Japan. The trainees of the programme have contributed greatly to promoting investment from Japan to Ethiopia, and Mr. Tadesse will continue to work effectively with the trainees to promote investment in Ethiopia for the future.
