UNIDO Tokyo hosted Mr. Ricardo Diaz, Investment Promotion Officer, of ProInversion – Private Investment Promotion Agency of Peru, from 16 February to 23 February 2009.

After working for the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Peru as a Policymaking Analyst, Mr. Diaz joined ProInversion in 2006 and is responsible for implementing investment projects. While in Japan, Mr. Diaz introduced the investment climate of the country and promising projects focusing on agricultural processing products (dried vegetables, cam cam, cassava etc.), agro-fishery processing products (giant squid, nori, anchovy etc.) through individual meetings with the private sector and other relevant organizations.
