UNIDO ITPO Tokyo hosted Mr. Jalalul Hai, Director, Foreign Investment, Board of Investment (BOI) of Bangladesh as an investment promotion officer from 2 to 12 June 2009.

He has been working for BOI over 20 years, and has held the present post since 2006. While in Japan, Mr. Hai introduced the country’s investment climate and opportunities, particularly in the field of textile & ready-made garments, and leather goods through individual meetings with Japanese private sector and other relevant organizations. Mr. Hai also made presentations at the seminars titled “Bangladesh Business Seminar” in Osaka on 4 June, Nagoya on 8 June, and Tokyo on 10 June.
