UNIDO Tokyo hosted Mr. Phouthasack Souvannasao, Acting Director of Planning Strategy and Service Division, Investment Promotion Department (IPD), Ministry of Planning and Investment, Lao PDR, as an investment promotion expert from 15 to 26 March 2010.

Mr. Phouthasack has been in charge of all aspects of investment promotion and implementation in Laos since he joined the Ministry in 1998. While in Japan, Mr. Phouthasack introduced the latest investment climate of the country and promote the sectors such as energy and food processing through individual meetings with the private sector and other relevant organizations.
