UNIDO ITPO Tokyo hosted Mr. Renatto Colón of the Ministry of Agriculture, Dominican Republic as a technology transfer delegate from 27 June to 8 July 2011.

During his programme, Mr. Colón participated in the special sessions at Tama Art University (TAU) to observe, produce, and acquire technical knowledge utilizing banana stems. After TAU’s technical sessions, Mr. Colón visited organizations/companies in Japan dealing with banana fiber technology, and products on banana fiber textile.
