UNIDO ITPO Tokyo, JICA and the Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania will organize the “Tanzania Investment Webinar -Zanzibar-” on Wednesday 3 July 2024.
The United Republic of Tanzania is a sovereign state in 1964 following the union of the Republic of Tanganyika and Zanzibar. Zanzibar has a very different history and culture from the continental Tanganyika, as it was the center of East African trade by the Arab Sultanate.
Zanzibar is a world-class tourist destination, famous for its Arab, Indian, European and African-influenced architecture and music, beautiful beaches, as well as cloves and other spices. The government aims to strengthen its Blue Economy industries such as fisheries, aquaculture, marine resources, ports, and marine transportation with support in the provision of modern fishing vessels, improvement of aquaculture infrastructure, and strengthening of the fisheries value chain.
At the seminar, the Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Blue Economy and Fisheries as well as the Executive Director of the Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority (ZIPA) will introduce the latest investment climate and investment opportunities. An European company will also share their first-hand experiences in Zanzibar.
We look forward to your participation.
