Jointly with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco and Japan Morocco Association, UNIDO ITPO Tokyo will organize “Morocco Aerospace Seminar” in Tokyo on Thursday, November 29 2018 at Tokyo Bay Ariake Washington Hotel.
The Kingdom of Morocco, with its strategic location in northwest Africa adjacent to European market as well as African, accelerates industrialization anchored by strong leadership on port and free zone development and tax incentives. Manufacturing and financial sectors are rapidly growing and nearly 50 Japanese companies are operating in the country.
According to the government of Morocco, a Memorandum of Agreement was signed between Morocco and Boeing, which consists of structuring a sourcing ecosystem formed by 120 suppliers eventually and an annual export of one billion dollars is targeted. Midparc is a free industrial zone for the aerospace industry, located right next to the main airport in Casablanca, the center of commerce and finance of the country. Bombardier’s parts factory, Eaton and Alcoa are some of the world leading aerospace companies which established production sites in Midparc. Airbus also opened a integrated platform of logistics and paintings in June 2018.
