UNIDO ITPO Tokyo organized a series of events to promote business partnership between Bangladesh and Japan in Fukuoka, Osaka and Tokyo in the 4th week of May 2023.

Fourteen (14) Bangladesh companies looking for cooperation in sectors including SEZ/Industrial Park, Engineering, Construction, Logistics, IT, Machinery, Tools, Automobiles, Health & Beauty, Consulting, Banking & Financial joined these events to discuss possible collaboration with Japanese companies. The representatives from Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and the Japan-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (JBCCI) also took part in thes events.

At the Bangladesh Business Seminar organized in Fukuka, Mr. Ariful Hoque, Director of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority focused his presentation on the various incentives available for investors and potential areas for investment such as agribusiness, textile/garment, IT, healthcare, shipbuilding and leather goods.

At the business matching events organized in Osaka and Tokyo, Bangladesh companies held approximately 150 individual discussions with the Japanese companies who have serious intentions to develop business in Bangladesh.
