UNIDO headquarter organized a study tour in Soybean Value Chain Development project, and 5 officials of the Ministry of Industry, Sudan visited soybean production/processing sites in Japan for a period of 4 days, from January 13 to 16.
“Study Tour on Soybean Production and Processing” in Tokyo/Chiba
5 officials of the Ministry of Industry, Sudan visited soybean processing plants, confectionery manufacturers using soybeans, and retail stores in Japan. At processing sites, they were instructed on technique and machinery in operation, and had intense discussion with questions considering feasibility in their country. Participants were also impressed at a variety of soy products sold in retail shops, which convinced them of further growth of soybean production and processing industry in Sudan.
