On 15 November 2023, UNIDO ITPO Tokyo, with the cooperation of Kawasaki City, organized a guided tour at the 16th Kawasaki International Eco-Tech Fair held in Kawasaki, by inviting diplomats from the embassies of developing and emerging countries based in Tokyo.

- Event Report: Fordham University EMBA Students and Faculty Visit to UNIDO
On 26 April 2023, 22 Executive MBA (EMBA) students and faculties of the Fordham University Gabelli School of Business visited the United Nations University (UNU) to co-host an event with UNIDO ITPO Tokyo. UNIDO and Fordham University have been cooperating since 2017 to provide opportunities for EMBA students to present business proposals for a selected Japanese company as their final project before graduation. The event resumed this year after three years of suspension due to the pandemic, and students and faculties could physically visit Tokyo for a week.

- The 15th Kawasaki International Eco-Tech Fair Tour / Embassy diplomats from 30 countries participated
On November 18, 2022, UNIDO ITPO Tokyo, with the cooperation of Kawasaki City, organized a tour to the 15th Kawasaki International Eco-Tech Fair held in Kawasaki city, inviting diplomats from the embassies of developing and emerging countries based in Tokyo.
- ADC and UNIDO Online Discussion for TICAD8
UNIDO held an online roundtable discussion with the African Diplomatic Corps (ADC) in Japan in preparation for TICAD8, on February 9th, 2022. Nearly 50 ambassadors and diplomats attended the meeting with acute attention to support programmes and activities for investment opportunities in Africa.

UNIDO ITPO Tokyo and Kawasaki City jointly organized a virtual guided tour as part of the programmes at the 14th Kawasaki International Eco-Tech Fair which took place in the online format. The event was organized on 24 November 2021, for the embassy diplomats from developing and emerging countries based in Tokyo.

- Learning from Japanese Mining Waste Water Treatment Technology
UNIDO visited the Matsuo Neutralization Plant in collaboration with Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC) and Hinode Sangyo Co., Ltd. with students from ABE Initiative and Innovative Asia scholarships. These students from Guinea, Ethiopia, and Thailand are currently participating in the internship program at Hinode Sangyo Co., Ltd..

- Embassy Guided Tour at 'EcoPro 2019' Exhibition
On 5-7 December 2019, the ‘EcoPro 2019’ took place at Tokyo Big Sight, which is one of the biggest environmental exhibitions in Japan. UNIDO ITPO Tokyo organized a guided tour for diplomats of embassies based in Tokyo in collaboration with Nikkei Inc. and Japan Environmental Management Association for Industry (JEMAI).
- 12th Kawasaki International Eco-Tech Fair (Embassy Program)
12th Kawasaki International Eco-Tech Fair was held in Kawasaki, Japan on 13-14 November 2019. UNIDO ITPO Tokyo has invited ambassadors and diplomats to introduce the technologies of Japanese companies.

- Industrial Policy Workshop for ADC 【Tokyo】
UNIDO ITPO Tokyo organized “Industrial Policy Workshop” for the African Diplomatic Corps (ADC) inviting Professor Kenichi Ohno of the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) on 10-11 January 2019. 39 diplomats including 6 ambassadors from 19 African embassies attended the workshop in two days.

- Embassies' Tour the EcoPro 2018 Exhibition
On 6-8 December 2018, “EcoPro 2018 -International Exhibition on Environment and Energy-” was held at the Tokyo Big Sight. With the 20th anniversary this year, the main theme of EcoPro 2018 was “Environment and Society of the SDGs Era, and to the Future” and the event attracted approximately 160,000 visitors for three days.
- Pilot Study Tour to Minamata (Embassy Programme)
In collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment of Japan (MOEJ) and Minamata City in Kumamoto, the pilot study tour was organized on 20-22 November 2018.

UNIDO ITPO Tokyo organized a site visit to Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) at their Kawasaki Plant on Friday, 6 July 2018.
- Visit to The Asahi Shimbun (Embassy Programme)
On a sunny Friday afternoon, a bus filled with enthusiastic diplomats left the UNU Building for Tsukiji. The bus was headed not for the famous fish market this time, but to a building which stands tall across from the market; The Asahi Shimbun Headquarters.

- Embassies' Tour the EcoPro 2017 Exhibition
15 representatives from 12 Embassies in Tokyo visited “EcoPro 2017 -International Exhibition on Environment and Energy-”, a three-day event held at the Tokyo Big Sight on 7-9 December 2017. The event focused on environment and energy issues and the contributions to solving social issues. The embassy tour was organized by UNIDO ITPO Tokyo, with an aim to bridge the developing and emerging countries and the Japanese businesses.
- International Robot Exhibition (iREX) 2017 - Embassy Programme [Tokyo]
The day was chilly as it was described as “the beginning of winter” in Tokyo, while the International Robot Exhibition (iREX) 2017 venue was heating up with small agile robots up to large robots that can stretch their arms out to the ceiling and to the crowds of people surrounding them.
- Japan Study Tour for Lebanon Project (UNIDO HQs project)
The Government of Lebanon and private companies from Lebanon visited Japan from Oct 22 to 28, 2017. They visited companies and organizations related to wood-processing technologies and tools in Aichi and Gifu prefectures.
- "KAIZEN" Workshop for ADC [Tokyo]
On an early autumn afternoon, the diplomats of the African Diplomatic Corps. (ADC) and observers from the African Business Education Initiative for Youth (ABE Initiative) and related organizations filled the venue at the UNU Building to learn and further pursue business opportunities through KAIZEN; one of the core elements that led Japan to excel and grow exponentially after the WWII. 30 diplomats including 8 Ambassadors from 25 African countries attended the event and showed their high interest on this topic.
- Site visit to Kitakyushu Eco-Town and Kawasaki Eco-Town
On July 3 and 4, 2017, 12 private and public sector experts working on industrial parks in Vietnam visited Japan on a study tour with an expert from UNIDO Headquarters. UNIDO ITPO Tokyo organized visits to Kitakyushu and Kawasaki Eco-towns in collaboration with UNIDO Headquarters.
- “Low Carbon and Climate Resilient Industrial Development” Study Tour in Japan (UNIDO HQs project)
UNIDO HQs organized a study tour in Japan for 11 African business representatives from food processing industry, Resource Efficient Cleaner Production (RECP), and National Cleaner Production Centers (NCPCs) in four countries (Egypt, Kenya, Senegal, and South Africa) from June 12 to 16, 2017.
- Smart Factory Japan 2017 & 2017 “BOSAI” Industry Fair in Tokyo (Embassy Programme)
On June 8 2017, UNIDO ITPO Tokyo organized an embassy tour to visit Smart Factory Japan 2017 & 2017 “BOSAI” Industry Fair in Tokyo, in which 29 diplomats from 24 countries attended. (Organizer: The Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun / Venue: Tokyo Big Sight).

On Tuesday, April 18 2017, UNIDO ITPO Tokyo organized a site visit to Kawasaki Eco-Town in collaboration with Kawasaki city for a six-member delegation from Russia, led by Mr. Evtukhov Viktor Leonidovich, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

On Friday, December 2, UNIDO ITPO Tokyo organized a plant tour to Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Cooperation (MFTBC) for a diplomatic delegation from developing countries in Tokyo. 17 embassies participated in the program.

UNIDO ITPO Tokyo cooperated with Nikkei Inc. and Japan Environmental Management Association for Industry (JEMAI) to jointly organize a half-day visit for Embassy officials from developing and emerging countries to the “Eco-Products 2015” exhibition, which took place on 10 December in Tokyo Big Sight.
- International Robot Exhibition 2015 (Embassy Programme)
UNIDO ITPO Tokyo cooperated with the Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, and jointly organized a half day visit for Embassy officials from developing and emerging countries to the International Robot Exhibition 2015 (iREX 2015), which took place at Tokyo Big Sight on 2 December 2015. The Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun was the main organizer of iREX 2015.
- Joint Workshop for ADC 2015 by UNIDO/JICA/BTMU
Joint Workshop for ADC 2015 was held at JICA Research Institute in Tokyo on Friday, June 12th, 2015.
UNIDO ITPO Tokyo organized this workshop together with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. (BTMU). It focused on “Japanese Energy Solutions & Technologies” and a total of 35 diplomats attended.

UNIDO ITPO Tokyo organized a capacity building programme for embassy diplomats in Tokyo to visit the Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation (MFTBC), Kawasaki Plant, on 25 September 2014, in collaboration with Kawasaki City and Daimler in Japan (Mercedes Benz Japan, Daimler Financial Service Japan and MFTBC).
