On 5-7 December 2019, the ‘EcoPro 2019’ took place at Tokyo Big Sight, which is one of the biggest environmental exhibitions in Japan. UNIDO ITPO Tokyo organized a guided tour for diplomats of embassies based in Tokyo in collaboration with Nikkei Inc. and Japan Environmental Management Association for Industry (JEMAI).
15 representatives from 13 embassies participated in the UNIDO’s guided tour and the group of diplomats visited eight booths of Japanese companies. At each booth, the latest products and technologies as well as the companies’ actions related to global environmental issues were presented. Embassy representatives listened carefully to their explanations and made comments and questions based on the realities and challenges they have been facing in their home countries.
UNIDO ITPO Tokyo also set up a booth to explain about the UNIDO’s activities and more than 300 young students who are keen on the activities related to international cooperation dropped by at the UNIDO booth.
