UNIDO ITPO Tokyo invited Mr. Jalel Tebib, the Director General of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency Tunisia (FIPA), from 1 to  8 July 2023. 

Mr. Tebib’s Profile 

After working at the Tunisian Ministry of Finance, he joined the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) in 2008 to promote investment in Tunisia. From 2014 to 2020, he served as its representative in the UK and German offices. He was appointed as the Director General of FIPA in 2023.  

Mr. Tebib’s Activities during the Delegate Programme 

During his stay in Japan, Mr. Tebib joined the “Tunisia Business and Investment Seminar” hosted in Tokyo and Osaka to promote business and investment in Tunisia. During the seminar, he gave a report on the foreign investment status in Tunisia and introduced potential sectors to invest. Mr. Tebib also had a total of 14 meetings with the public and private sectors and discussed various issues. For more details on the seminar, please see the Event Report Page.
