UNIDO Tokyo hosted Mr. Aklilu Woldemariam Habte, Director, Information and Investment Promotion Directorate, Ethiopian Investment Agency (EIA) from 25 November to 10 December 2013.
Mr. Aklilu has been placed in charge of management and supervision of all investment related information and promotion activities as well as investor targeting, pre/post investment servicing and advisory service to the potential investors since 2007. During his stay in Japan, Mr. Aklilu introduced the investment climate of the country through individual meetings with the private sector and other relevant organizations. He also participated in the “Ethiopia Business and Investment Seminar” in Osaka (5 Dec) and Tokoname (6 Dec), which were co-organized by Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in Japan and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). Mr. Tadesse Dadi Segni, the advisor of UNIDO ITPO Tokyo stationed in Ethiopia, also joined the programme. Please contact the person in charge if you are interested in doing business in Ethiopia.
