UNIDO ITPO Tokyo has organized an online seminar, “Business Environment Update by UNIDO African Advisors 1: Ethiopia (Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda) and Mozambique” on 11 June 2020, as the first part of the series of online seminars, with UNIDO ITPO Tokyo’s African Advisors.
UNIDO ITPO Tokyo assigns experienced African investment promotion advisors to support Japanese companies in Algeria, Ethiopia (also covering Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda), Mozambique, and Senegal. The advisors provide a variety of services required for doing business in the coverage countries, such as offering consultations to connect with local businesses, arranging meetings with government agencies, matchmaking with local partners, and facilitating site visits to local companies.
In this seminar, African Advisors in Ethiopia (covering Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda) and Mozambique have updated the latest business environment under COVID-19 including relevant economic measures and situation with Japanese and foreign companies as well as promising sectors and opportunities for Japanese companies in each country.

H.E. Mr. RWAMUCYO Ernest, Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Rwanda to Japan and Mr. Alex Ntale, CEO of Rwanda ICT Chamber have also joined the online seminar and made their comments on the presentation as well as questions from the audience.
